How I Fell In Love With Face & Body Paint

I've been making things for as long as I can remember. I was always drawing, and learning how to sew, embroider, crochet, make and build. I began selling my arts and crafts at an early age, and helping with the creative family business. As an adult, I worked in multiple office jobs, which flexed my organizational muscles, and was even a massage therapist for a while, but I wasn't satisfied creatively.

I began making things again, and had some success selling them online, and at arts and crafts shows in the area. Then, one day, a friend who was decorating the nursery for their first child asked if I would paint some wooden letters, spelling out his name, to hang on the wall. I'd never considered myself much of a painter, but I wanted to give her something to cherish.

As soon as I started painting, I realized this was something I wanted to pursue. After completing several custom orders for the letters, a face painting friend suggested I look into her field of work. I found a new face and body painting convention in the area, saved up the money for my ticket, and dove right in. Long story short, here I am, a few years later, still loving what I do! I enjoy working with and teaching kids, and I love making people feel happy to be in their skin. I get to do that, and create art - I couldn't ask for more!
