About The Artist

I've been creative for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I was always drawing, and learning how to sew, embroider, crochet, make and build. My family is very creative, and supported my interest in learning all of the arts and crafts I could. I began selling my work at an early age, and helped my mom and grandmother with the creative family business. As an adult, I worked in multiple administrative jobs, which flexed my organizational muscles, and was even a massage therapist for a while! I enjoyed my work, but missed connecting with myself and others through art.

When I began making things again, I sold my creations online, and at arts and crafts fairs. Eventually, I started painting on canvas and other objects, and although I hadn't thought of myself as a painter before, I quickly realized how much I liked it. Not long after, a face painting friend suggested looking into face and body art. A couple of months later, the first face and body art convention in North Texas was held in Dallas, so I bought my ticket and some inexpensive supplies, and dove in. The fun was contagious, and the community is wonderful! Long story short, here I am, over a decade later, still loving what I do as a face and body artist. It's for kids of all ages, from 3 to 93 (and beyond.) It gives people the freedom to use their imaginations and play, celebrate and transform themselves, and it makes special events even more memorable. I'm honored to get to be a part of that!

I still paint on canvas and other objects, like clothing, as well as doing mixed media work, and even creating props and decor. Pet portraits have been a favorite, since I'm an animal lover - I've painted everything from dogs and cats to chameleons and parakeets on canvas, and ornaments. My favorite holiday is Halloween, so I also often make props and decor for others and my family.

Thank you for taking the time to read a little of my story!
