How I Fell In Love With Face & Body Paint
I've been creative for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I was always drawing, and learning how to sew, embroider, crochet, make and build. I began selling my arts and crafts at an early age, and helped my mom and grandmother with the creative family business. As an adult, I worked in multiple administrative jobs, which flexed my organizational muscles, and was even a massage therapist for a while! I enjoyed my work, but missed connecting with myself and others through art.
I began making things again, and sold my creations online, and at arts and crafts fairs. Eventually, I started painting on canvas and other objects, and although I hadn't thought of myself as a painter before, I quickly realized how much I enjoyed it. Not long after, a face painting friend suggested I look into face and body art. A couple of months later, the first face and body art convention in North Texas was held in Dallas, so I bought my ticket and some inexpensive supplies, and dove in. The fun was contagious! Long story short, here I am, over a decade later, still loving what I do. Face and body art is for kids of all ages, from young to old. It gives people the freedom to use their imaginations and play, celebrate and transform themselves, and it makes special events even more memorable. I'm honored to get to be a part of that!
